Personalizing Treatment
Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy (MeRT)* builds on the foundation of TMS by introducing personalized treatment parameters.
MeRT combines:
- TMS stimulation
- Brainwave analysis (qEEG)
- Cardiac rhythm data (ECG)
This data is used to tailor stimulation frequency and targeting to each patient’s unique brain activity pattern.

Why TMS for PTSD?
TMS is increasingly recognized as a promising approach for conditions beyond depression, including PTSD, where brain network dysregulation plays a key role—and when combined with personalized MeRT protocols*, has demonstrated substantial improvements in PTSD symptom severity in clinical and real-world settings¹.
Key benefits include:
- Non-invasive and drug-free – no systemic side effects
- Targeted treatment – directly stimulates affected brain regions
- Well tolerated – minimal side effects such as mild headache
- No downtime – patients resume daily activities immediately
- Potential for lasting improvement through neuroplastic changes

What is PTSD?
PTSD is a mental health condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. Symptoms may include:
- Intrusive thoughts or flashbacks
- Hypervigilance or anxiety
- Sleep disturbances
- Emotional numbness or avoidance
These symptoms are often linked to dysregulation in brain circuits responsible for mood, fear response, and emotional processing—pathways that can also overlap with those involved in depression, which frequently co-occurs with PTSD.

The MeRT System by Wave Neuroscience is FDA-cleared for adjunct treatment of adult patients suffering from PTSD. MagVenture’s technology is utilized as part of the MeRT System configuration. MagVenture does not independently hold an FDA-cleared indication for PTSD. Any references to PTSD relate solely to the FDA-cleared MeRT System.
