CARBON REDUCTION PLAN
MagVenture’s Commitment to a Sustainable Future
MagVenture is proud to announce our commitment to a decarbonization journey, initiated by the UK Health Authorities.
As part of this initiative, we are required to establish a Carbon Reduction Plan to achieve NetZero by 2050.
In 2024, we established our initial baseline and are preparing a robust data management process to support our priorities and meet our targets. This foundational work sets the direction for our operational carbon reduction activities today and in the coming years.
Our near-term target is a 50% reduction by 2030 compared to 2023 levels, for Scope 1 and 2 emissions and selected scope 3 emissions. As we gather more data on our Scope 3 emissions, we will establish targets for these categories as well.
By 2028, the UK NHS requires MagVenture to establish Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for our products. We are excited to embark on this journey as a supplier to the UK NHS.
MagVenture is taking a systematic approach, establishing a data management structure that will allow us to improve our product design, reduce carbon emissions, and provide LCAs for our customers upon request.
We have partnered with the consulting company IPU, renowned for its expertise in product development and sustainability, to assist us on our corporate and product sustainability journey. IPUs history is about moving knowledge from the Technical University of Denmark, DTU, to industry operating in the domain between research and operational implementation of knowledge.
