MagVenture Acquires Brain Science Tools, Advancing Innovation in Neuronavigation for TMS
Farum, Denmark — January 7, 2026
MagVenture®, the global leader in non-invasive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) technology, announces the acquisition of Brain Science Tools (BST), a Netherlands-based company specializing in neuronavigation and MRI-based imaging software. The acquisition strengthens MagVenture’s long-term strategy for expanding navigation capabilities within its TMS ecosystem and supports the continued development of MagVenture TMS Atlas®, MagVenture’s proprietary neuronavigation platform.
MagVenture has acquired 100 percent of BST, including all associated intellectual property. The acquisition deepens the companies’ long-standing collaboration and brings BST’s highly specialized software, imaging, and navigation expertise directly into MagVenture’s global R&D organization.
For more than four years, MagVenture and BST have collaborated closely to co-develop Atlas, now an established MagVenture neuronavigation system used in both clinical and research environments. BST’s background in neuroimaging, software engineering, and navigation technology has played a central role in shaping Atlas into a precise, stable, and user-oriented platform.
